Deliver

Pattern: This pattern reminds me of a old school kitchen floor and of my own kitchen floor from before I was born. This pattern gives me a vibrant feeling even if there aren’t any colors on the picture. When I see this pattern I think of past memories that I have or ones that were told to me because of the type of pattern that looks like tiles.

texture: This picture of stone floor reminds me of times I would play at the park as a little girl and of times when I’d fall but still get back up. This reminds me of the feeling of when my knees would hit the ground as I was running in the playground. When I see this picture I think of a hard but smooth textured rocks.

texture:

The raindrop texture reminds me of when i was younger and it would rain outside. Mostly good memories of me going to the movie theatre with my parents and brother pop in my head as well as the times that i’d visit my grandparents in Puerto Rico and it would rain for at least 30 minutes each day.

pattern:

The textile pattern gives me a soft, warm, and comfortable feeling. It reminds me of when i used to have a cat. My cat was a big part of my childhood life until she passed away when i was in the 5th grade. Though it was a very sad and unfortunate time for me, i still like to look back and reminisce on the things I can still remember about her and bring light to the void since her death was a long time ago.

STEP 5: DELIVER AND CRITIQUE (Linneth M)

Patter:

Retro Patterns reminds me of an expensive and luxury life on the 80’s, a family home full of sexualized comments and women’s oppresion, This squared pattern for me is a wallpaper, and I can almost hear the walls feeling restless and opressed by a masculine figure. Dark and light figures play an illusion in your eyes, you can never guess what color is at the top and which on is at the bottom, its interesting the use of diferent grays that I can infer they might be really colorfull.

Texture:

This sand texture reminds me of my country and its meadows, it makes me feel nostalgic to that trip i did with my family to Coro, we threw ourselves from the sand mountains. i it was one of the happiest moments of my early adolescense. The way the lines look like they were sculpted into the sand is pretty amazing, It doesn’t look natural but is impressive it could actually be the way the wind move the sand around and ends up like this.

Deliver

I learned that I could have been more careful with drawing the letters and lines with more thickness and represent it better without smudginess on the paper. For the next project I would be more prepared with my materials ahead of time.

Texture: i see a rough texture in the stones with the dark color signifying  the roughest parts of the image and the light spots signify smooth surfaces. The stones are not following the same rhythm of placement from some stones being spaced out more than the others. I also see no real connection with the stones because they are not all connected to each other and don’t share the same amount of dark shades and light shades.

Pattern: i see a pattern of 2 shapes, having the square repeat itself as well as the triangle on the sides of the picture repeating. I would also think it shows synchronicity in the relationship of shapes it follows from the squares and triangles connecting each other with no significance to each other then it being connected but the color on some of the shapes make it seem like it’s related to each other through color alone.
