The Lighting is in the front. The light help the camera to be able to capture the sunflower in detail and sharp. At the same time the stem on the bottom is blur out (shallow depth of field) that makes the sunflower stand out. The sunflower’s distance is not far from the stem but the angle that the photographer capture make the sunflower and the stem appear far apart.
