BHS maps

When we went to the Brooklyn historical society on Wednesday we looked the 20-30s time period. We analyzed things like immigrant population and where the majority lived in Brooklyn and looked at several statistics like disease spread, criminal levels and where the majority of these happen as well as what neighborhoods where more expensive to live in. Some of the questions that arose where rent and house prices as well as what kind of people lived there. We also tried to figure out the more crowded neighborhoods and why they where more crowded then others. The more busy neighborhoods where Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn as well as East New York because they where closer to the Ports and Ship Yards(which is where most immigrants worked and lived) and it was closer to Manhattan where it was all happening.
