Something that interested me when I was a kid was CSI investigators id always watch the episodes on crime shows or any CSI whether it was finding out how a crime was committed based on a room and evidence or autopsies being done. Unfortunately as time passed i lost interest in this topic. Asking questions about this topic definitely helped me revisit my old interests as a younger youth. My curiosity definitely helped me explore the wanting to be a CSI investigator. I asked questions about everything which led to me finding out more about the topic. My curiosity has grown over the years because I started asking questions about different topics around me and my curiosity spiked to newer interests. The education system has played a good part in my curiosity because I grew connections with my classmates and my teachers and they had different interests which introduced newer topics to me that I didn’t know. I’m not interested in this topic anymore because a newer interest found me in the arts. I don’t remember the exact time I lost interest but all I remember is I went to the museum once and next thing I knew I was in college majoring in something involving the arts. I donât exactly know why I’m so interested in the arts area but something about drawing and designing has me. I joined a bunch of art programs growing up to get a deeper feel of the arts which led to me making a bunch of art friends and expanding my interests in that field. My creativity grew with my friends as our interests came together this later led me on to making my clothing brand and absolutely loving it! I had a few friends that showed me the ways of creating clothes and designing and my business was created. Also my grandpa was known for going to museums every week so I guess my interest was inherited but I definitely don’t see myself as a CSI investigator anymore. I’m happy where my mind is now.

Schools are killing curiosityÂ
1 âCurious children call out and point, but the teacher draws their attention backâ i remember this always happening growing up we’d see snow look out and get our attention pulled back why not led the curiosity fly and entertain it for a little bit maybe we’d learn a fact or two about the snow while we’re at it. I swear I’d be the best teacher and let all my students’ curiosity fly.Â
2 âThe number of questions a toddler can ask can seem infinite â it is one of the critical methods humans adopt to learnâ. I will admit I thought it was so annoying when little kids would ask so many questions but now when I sit on the train I watch parents answer their questions and read them books and I changed my opinion on how I view child development questions are the key to learning and growing.
3 âWhen teachers teach young children not to ask questions, it is not surprising that high-performing students studied by American researchers in 2013 were found to be less curiousâ I didn’t really think about it like that till i saw this article but maybe as we grew older out curiosity decreased tremendously to where we are cricuts now in classrooms that definitely explains why my college classes are so quiet we lost our curiosity!
4 âLast September the nursery took the radical step of permanently removing most of its toys for two-year-olds and replacing them with a range of cardboard boxes, tin cans, pots and pans, old phones, kettles, computers and plumbing supplies â anything with creative possibilitiesâ I absolutely love this exercise because children growing up are so blinded by tv shows phones anything on a screen and forget about real things like spaceships and ballerinas this exercise definitely helps open up their curiosity.Â

Research starts with a thesis statement
1Â âWe acknowledge that we do not have the only or the best answer to every question, and that we might learn something from considering the ideas of othersâ. I love this quote because it’s true we learn so much but only from research material like books etc but from one another. Us as humans obtain way more information than just a book on a self we have feelings, opinions and answers something books don’t have. Considering others’ ideas could really help us learn more from just listening.
2Â âA researcher who begins with an open-ended question motivated by curiosity, whose goal is not to prove anything, but to discover salient ideasâ. All researchers should think this way the idea of not proving anything but exploring ideas with curiosityÂ
3 âViewing research as a process of discoveryâ. Research is so fun because okay we are discovering what we are looking for but this leads to questions that are sometimes not answerable but lead to other questions from your questions and i think that’s great.
4 âParents also need to learn to be comfort- able with saying âI donât knowâ in response, rather than search- ing for a simple answerâ. This is crucial saying I don’t know things we are uncertain about because we don’t have to know everything and maybe children need that mindset growing up that it’s okay not to know an answer, not every question needs an answer and we need to learn that that’s okay.Â
