The topic I wrote about was about how technology will evolve in the future and how it will impact the world. I became interested in the topic because I love technology myself and I see all the uses for it in the future. My purpose was to show everyone but mainly from young adults to kids how important it is to have an understanding of it. Right now there are a lot of cons and risk to using technology that we have created right now. In order for people to advance the technology we will need in the future they will need to know about it the technology now so we don’t make the same mistakes. I mainly wanted to target young adults because the future will be in their hands shortly. It will be good when they know that information they make an impactful change. I see my piece being shown at a school. I believe this is a good place for my piece to be shown because it is helping younger people and school correlates with that. An appeal that I used was facts. Sometimes people wont listen if they think you’re just making stuff up but if you show proof then nobody can dispute what you are saying. The genre I chose was video. This can help get my points across if you hear myself speaking to you. Nobody young wants to read a long boring article so it’s better that they hear my voice. The video should not be a simple video because that will cause them to lose their attention so it better to keep the video short, light hearted and have somethings eye catching.

I used YouTube videos that talks about the technology of the future and they talked about what exactly should be expected of the future. I believe their target audience is anyone who want to know about technology and the future of the world. The videos they make are around 20 minutes long and sometime shorter depending on what they talk about in the video. The type of tone that they give off when they speak sounds casual. In the videos they make while talking they show what the are talking about whether its videos, picture or 3d concepts of the technology.

My target audience are young adults to teenagers. I want to reach to them because these two groups will be in charge of the world. After the current adults of the world get old its up to them to make changes for a better future. I believe they should know all about technology and the changes that’s comes with it along with the pros and cons. The genre I am planning on using is video recording. Young adults and teenagers don’t want to wants to read about technology instead the want to see it for themselves. That how I can get them invested in my topic. I intend to get started by researching other videos talking about technology to see how will it be like and what I can use in my own video to get their attention. After that I use what I gathered from other people and do it my own way that way I will know what the liked and didn’t like. Something I might be worried about is if I can appeal to nobody and my assignment doesn’t go how I expected it to. Since younger people attention wavers more than older people when it comes to an educational topic it will be harder for myself.
