Education narrative

Basically my experience with education narrative is that I actually enjoy writing them because personally I love telling stories especially stories throughout my life because I like telling or hearing stories that is relatable towards me and other people. I have done quite a few educational narratives through high school I really like putting alot of expression  about writing especially about my personal life because in personal narratives I like to talk about personal aspects from my life so I can show my true self and connect with people to get a deeper understanding from me and it goes the same with other peoples narratives I like to understand there a little better than I did before. Education narratives is the writing I actually prefer than any other writing preferences because you get to actually write on what you want to write and explain. Sometimes I could be uncomfortable because I’m a introverted but if I really want to say something that I’m confident in or I cannot help but say something about it so if we ever had a presentation I’m going to be a nervous wreck but I’m will convince and push myself to do because it’s either that or get a poor grade so i rather risk being afraid.  I like to have understanding different types of stories that people go through it probably the reason why I like watching real life stories and documentaries because it shows that your aren’t alone there are people that can go through thing that relate to you sometimes even worse than what you been through and it just gives you a wake up call moment that he or she been through worse and if he or she is fine I should do well too….

Tan Assignment

  •  In-Page two-paragraph one it says “I’ve been giving more thought to the kind of English my mother speaks. Like, I have described it to people as broken or fractured” that quote explains that her mother has an accent when she speaks English so, therefore, its “broken” or it can be also a mixture of English and Spanish like Spanglish.
  • she says her mother has limitations towards her English for example on page two paragraph 3 says “my mother has long realized the limitations of her English as well. When I was fifteen, she used to have me call people on the phone to pretend I was she.” even though she understands her mothers “broken English” other don’t so she always had to help her but when she says “used to” her mother learned more English through time.
  • she has a theory that her mothers English almost affected her possibilities of life and affect her different types of tests like SATs, I.Q, etc she believed that she did well in her other classes cuz most of them is more straight forward while she lacked a little in English because it isn’t one answer is a “judgment call”
  • She is More rebellious and she is the type of person that she doesn’t care if you make assumptions about her or her mother
  • She didn’t want to write a book with all these fancy big words she wanted to make a book that’s easy to read for everyone especially her mother or anyone who just learning English in the last paragraph on the last page it says from her mother “easy to read”

One word

One word that describes how I am feeling about the English course is excited because I don’t live in the city anymore I just recently moved into the suburbs last year and I’m glad I go to school in the city because I’ve missed how the city life was. My main worry about the class is only the traveling I have to do when I come to city tech because in transportation it takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, but hopefully ill adjust to the new travel style and how to manage my time. I will rather be in person because I honestly learn better face to face or since it’s covid, mask to mask. In-person it pushes me to try harder and pay attention more, at home I can be as laid back as I want because I’m in my comfort zone but I don’t want to be too much in my comfort zone at home so in person is the better option for me.
