For my unit 3 project, I think I did well. Not too great though. I always feel like I could add more and more information to my projects but just don’t think up what to put in my project immediately. It was my first time doing something like this so it might not be as perfect as I want it to be, but at least I can complete it and see it for what i think it is. And I think it’s good enough.

“When students complete a first draft, they consider the job of writing done – and
their teachers too often agree. When professional writers complete a first draft,
they usually feel that they are at the start of the writing process. When a draft is
completed, the job of writing can begin.” (Page 1, paragraph 3)  I can agree with this statement because this was how I use to think about writing drafts back in middle school. After I finished my draft I would just add a little more touch into making everything look more presentable and be done with it. But now here in college I see that there is way more that I can do to add more to my draft to make it better and become a full paper.

My plan for my new genre piece on my topic, “why do most adults believe that video games cause violence”, I will be working on a review article for my genre. My goals for working on it is to start the moment spring break begins. I want to try to get the work done as soon as possible so that I can also focus on other things on at the time. For brainstorming, I want to look through multiple articles and videos on my topic and see if I can add that information while explaining and analyzing it. I already have some materials prepared to add to my review article and I am looking for more things to add to my project.
