Something I was interested in when I was boxing when I was younger I used to train for boxing when I was 12 for the summer and because my dad wanted me to exercise and not do anything the whole summer. It was a good experience for me to learn the basics of boxing at the time and made me healthier. Today I’m still interested in boxing but I just don’t train for it anymore I just love watching boxing events or boxing highlights. I like analyzing the fights and seeing what skills they have in boxing, like reflexes, footwork, punching power, and boxing IQ . From what I know so far boxing is a combat sport in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves and other protective equipment such as hand wraps and mouthguards usually helps you protect yourself from any injuries while fighting. My favorite fight when I was younger was Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao it was one of the first fights that made me interested in boxing I really wanted Manny to win but of course, Floyd won and was undefeated. After I boxed at 12 my curiosity grew because when I turned 15 I tried boxing again but this time it was in a different environment since I moved recently at the time and also my best friend was convincing me that we should try boxing. So we convinced our parents to sign up and then we ended up training there for a year than during the summer of that same year we lost motivation to boxing and ended up quitting, it was mainly our trainers fault because they didn’t really train us like boxers there will be some days where we do nothing but just excersize. They didn’t really push us to work hard or rarely train us we just trained ourselves mostly. But my curiosity for boxing was in a good way because it made me have a better understanding and respect for boxing and it helped me learn how to work hard and learned that stuff isn’t easy as it seems.
