In the text the author points out “Some writers quote too little perhaps because they don’t want to bother going back to the original text and looking up the author’s exact words, or because they think they can reconstruct the author’s ideas from memory.” The author is trying to say that it is better to have a lot more information in your writing so that the audience do not get confused on what you are trying to say. If you have a little information on the topic you are writing the audience wont be interested in reading your work.
