Free-write 03/26/24

Today day is my day off, because in the morning I woke up in my bed and made basic breakfast.Bacon, eggs, and cheese on a bagel with cereal to start my morning day. After that at 7:00 am I went for a jog at my nearest home there I do my daily exercise. When I’m done with that I go back to my apartment and head to the showers. At 10:00am I started to do my homework and study because I have exams week in the flowing week. At 12:00pm I started cooking my favorite Peruvian dish that called Aji de gallina, it was delicious.

Summary of Read like a Writer

1) How reading in a particular way could also make a better writer.
2) You are reading to learn about writing and the methods they uses.
3) You’re reading to see how it was constructed so that you can construct something similar yourself./ When you read like a writer, you are trying to figure out how the text you are reading was constructed.
4) Reading like a writer can help you understand how the process of writing is a series of meaning choices.
5) Learn about the historical context of the writings.
6) Comments on how important the genre of the text can be force reading.
7) Published text would be different, maybe even different choices in the writing because you may be faced with similar choices in your own work.
8) Because you can look at a piece you’re reading and think about whether you want to adapt similar choices in your own style.
9) You are reading to understand how the text was written how the house was built.
10) Examining the evidence that the author was to support his/her claims.
11) To mark up the text, make comments in the margins, and write yourself notes and summaries.
12) Deciding how to include the best attributes of what you read in your own writing. This is what reading like a writer is all about.
