My name is Daniel King and I’m currently studying Communication Design at City Tech with an interest in pursuing a career in advertising design, video editing, and motion graphics. When I first came to City Tech I was originally studying Electrical Mechanical Engineering. After two years I realized I wasn’t meant to go down that professional path and I started chasing a goal that felt more creatively rewarding. I’ve always had a knack for design and art and a keen eye for realizing intricacies in the way brands and companies make themselves appear and appeal to their target demographic. Music album covers and tattoo design are other types of artistic media that I’m interested in.
I’m currently employed at a privately owned club/event space as a bartender. Being a bartender has taught me how to be fast, efficient, and take pride in what I create. As for my personal life, I currently live with my wife and three cats. I grew up in Brooklyn and enjoy playing video games and shuffleboard competitively, building and flying drones, and aerial cinematography.
