It is located at 2 Rivington St, New York, NY 10002. The ice cream parlor was very interesting. The place has interesting flavors that is not normal. The Dorian banana ice cream was very different then old and ordinary ice cream. The ice cream tasted very vulgar in like a onion taste then it has a little sweet taste of sweetness to it. The pricing of the ice cream is not to expensive and the parlor is clean and looks like its a old style ice cream shop. I overall like the place and I would go back if i have time.

Di Palo’s
I decided to write my post on Lou because I admired his stories and enthusiasm about his fifth generation ownership of Di Palo. I learned a lot from what he told the class about how his business came about. Also, it is great to hear about family helping one another. It’s rare to see family help each other without getting greedy, especially in my experience. Culinary tourism is expanding diversely and it will continue to grow as fast it can soar. Di Palo’s mission is great and their products are authentic and cheeses are made in-house.
He will have his own book coming this fall too about his family’s storied establishment and a guide to the most beloved elements in his cuisine.
Fette Sau BBQ
Fette Sau’s is a popular BBQ joint located in Williamsburg Brooklyn at 354 Metropolitan Ave. They are open 7 days a week. On Monday- Thursday from 5pm-11pm and Friday to Sunday from 12pm-11pm. They are known and popular for their dry-rub style of BBQ, beers and bourbon. They have a very rustic cafeteria style setting and dining area and serve their food in metal cafeteria trays. The Ambiance of the place is very relaxing with music playing, dim lighting and the smell of BBQ all in the air. The bar is stacked with a variety of bourbon and planety of beers on tap. The cafeteria like tables all have different types of BBQ sauces on them as well as a roll of paper towels. When we got there it just opened up for the day and there were already customers waiting outside waiting for the doors top open. We ordered the Brisket, the pulled pork that came with little slider buns and baked beans. The baked beans we very delicious with both a sweet and spicy kick. That was by far my favorite thing that i had.

Mast Brothers
Mast Brothers chocolate factory is located at 111 N 3rd St, Brooklyn, NY 11211. It was found in 2007 by Micheal and Rick Mast. The Mast Brothers is a New York Based establishment with two other locations in Los Angles and London. Their products are “chocolate bars, beverage, confections with an emphasis on clarity of favor.” They get their coco beans from Madagascar,Papua New Guinea, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. The coco beans is roasted differently from each of the located produce from , which they roast about to 2 bags a day. Chocolate is made from the coco beans and organic cane sugar. They offers 30 minutes tours everyday between hour 11 am to 5 pm. This where the they explain the chocolate making process.
I personally don’t like the sample of the chocolate tasted because it was bit too much with bitterness ,smell, and taste for me. The goat milk chocolate smelled was to fresh with from the animal itself. The olive chocolate was smooth in mouth but was also bitter.
The Blue Bottle Coffee
It is located at 160 Berry St, Brooklyn, NY 11249. It is a really fancy coffee shop that provides good coffee. I tried the New Orleans that is very flavorful. It had some sugar already in the brew and was very balanced. Its a cold drink. It is was very smooth in taste. I really like this coffee shop and if i stop by i would rather go here than starbucks.
Koliba restaurant the place to go by 31-11 23rd Av. Astoria, NY 11105
It looks to me as a very cozy restaurant from the outside. It serves Slovakian style of food. I would want to go try it myself and learn more about their culture. The prices are reasonable for a $30 for entree and a drink or little more. The golash that is a stew that has different types of meats sounds very good. The potato spaetzle with sheep cheese and bacon, bread dumplings with cream sauce is also good according to online reviews.
Eately
I was amazed by the variety of products displayed at Eastely. I just kept imagining the food I could cook with all this fresh food, then the prices brought me down to reality.
