“Civil Service 101 for LGBTQ+ Students and Allies”! On Tues. December 7th from 1:00-2:15 pm, City Tech’s Academic Minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies is hosting this virtual event. The Department of Citywide Administrative Services will discuss Civil Service career options in NYC and how to apply for them. There will be a representative from the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene who will discuss the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, jobs currently available, and services that the department provides for the LGBTQ+ community. Get FREE help with writing in ALL your classes!! The Writing Center at City Tech is offering free online tutoring for City Tech students. Students who need help with essays, research papers, lab reports, etc. are encouraged to schedule appointments at https://citytechwritingcenter3766.setmore.com for one-on-one Zoom tutoring. All genres of writing from all disciplines are welcome! Writing tutors will meet with students for 45-minute sessions. At your appointment, you should share an electronic copy of the assignment guidelines and preferably a draft of their work.
