William Wegman Sperone Westwater Gallery Review

Located on 257 Bowery, the Sperone Westwater has many wonderful art pieces up on display, showing off what many artists/photographers have to offer. Inside, there’s an exhibit called “William Wegman’s Dressed and Undressed”. Throughout the entire exhibit, there’s over 30 years of 20×24 polaroids Wegman has taken himself. The picture I selected to write about is this one photo called “Bus Stop” I don’t know what’s with Wegman and his thing with dogs combined with a variety of things but everyone else seems to like it. The subject of the picture is a dog wearing some sort of trench coat along with a suitcase. This, in a way, gives off a stylish look to the dogs he uses in each one of his photos, anthropomorphising them giving us the viewers something compelling in front of our eyes, making them interesting and captivating.
