Out of the ten photos my group and I picked out today, this was the one that I found the most interesting. Apart from the apparent contrast between the two flowers ( light and dark & out of focus and in-focus). The shallow depth of field makes the picture of the two flowers look like “rivals”. The dark reflecting parts of the flower gives the in-focus flower more “depth” and more of a dramatic feel. The purple reflection on the flower (which was unintentional) adds to the the dramatic feel. The center placement places direct attention on the two flowers.

The photo is so small and so dark I can’t really see the things you are describing. Please a bigger image next time.
