This one shows a lot of detail in the petals. it also has a dimmed side light which shows the contrast of the flower compared to the dark background. It makes it look like the darkness outlines the flower.

Its good to remember that the image can be vertical. this is a side light but I am not sure why you use the adjective dimmed?
