You will create 2 versions following the steps below
• 11×17″ with outline
• no color
• Use only these elements:

- location (country, state, or city)
- medium (graphic design, maps, books, branding?)
- approximately 10 word quote
or
approximately 10 word description

3. Work in this order:
A Size 11×17″
5 columns
5 rows
no margin or gutter
Refer to last weeks assignments for column set up and content requirements.
B Use one typeface that your designer uses (use different variations bold, regular, italic; and sizes)
• Maximum of 3 levels of clear hierarchy
• Exaggerate hierarchy, changing type size less 10 points does not count
C Choose ONE focal point based on proportion
D Position your top hierarchal element in that area to emphasizes proportion
E Your remaining text:
• Group like things together (“mass” your type based on content)
• Apply only 2 levels of hierarchy. (The first level of hierarchy is your title)
• Use only the 3 right vertical columns; Leave the 2 left columns open
• Align the left side of all of your remaining text to the left side of the third column
• Make sure that some of your text is at least 2 columns wide so that it does not appear centered
