Claim your Active Directory account so that you will be able to use City Tech wifi, computer classrooms, and other resources.
In addition to their CUNYfirst and City Tech logins, all students also are automatically assigned an account that gives them access to virtual and computer-based college services.
It is called an “Active Directory” login.
The login ID is the same as what goes before the @ in their City Tech email address, but the password may be different.
New students can claim their Active Directory accounts and continuing students can reset their passwords by going to https://forgot.citytech.cuny.edu and follow the prompts. The attachment has additional details, including the formula for a new student’s initial password. Active Directory gives students access to:
- Campus wifi
- Most computer classrooms and some iTec labs as well
- Virtual desktop services available to students in specific majors, such as Architectural Technology and Computer Engineering Technology
- Labstats
