Prepare for the Midterm Exam.

For the midterm, you need to go over the following:
Bringing images into InDesign. Remember we went over it when we brought vectors into our designs, and we’ll go over it again this week. We also covered wrapping text around images.
Bringing text into InDesign. We went over it a few times.
The vocabulary. Use the new sheet, the one with examples of how theĀ differentĀ terms can be pictured.

Roughs for Brochure
Sketch out a full-size brochure, using a letter-sized sheet of paper
Rules:
Once your design is fully finished, re-package your file to ensure all links are in place.
Then, export the file as a pdf (File > Export > PDF (Print))
Up will pop the PDF dialoge box. Choose Marks and Bleeds from the left hand menu, and click the box to tuen on All Printer’s Marks. See image.
You can also turn on the Document Bleed Settings if you added a bleed to your file.
Press Export and you will have a pdf with all the trim marks you need.
Print this out at 100%. That means you will need to print the letterhead out on 11″x17″ paper. The envelop and business card can be printed out on letter-sized paper.
Here is a spectacular pen tool exercise that we will work with today in Illustrator. The Pen Tool is virtually identical in both programs.
Finals for Project 2: Letterhead, Business Card, and Envelope
Print out full color copies of your envelope, the letterhead, and the business card.
