Placing artwork
- Choose File > Place. this opens the Place dialog box.
- Navigate to find the file you want to import.
- Select the file and press Open.
Once you have imported the image into an image cursor, there are choices as to how to add the graphic to the file.
To place the graphic at its actual size:
Click the cursor to place the graphic in a rectangular frame the same size as the artwork.
To place the graphic into an existing frame:
Position the cursor over an empty frame and click.
- Hold the Option key to place the image into a frame that already contains an image.
To place artwork in a custom-sized frame:
Drag the image cursor to define the size of the rectangular frame. the frame sized is constrained to the correct proportion to hold the image.
- Hold the Shift key as you drag to create the frame in any other proportion.
