Our Dental Hygiene class participated in a wonderful outreach program called Colgate Smiles at the Greater New York Dental Meeting in November 2019.
This was an exciting and interactive program where I had the opportunity to teach grade school students the proper brushing techniques. I had a great time spending one on one time with a few students to demonstrate “show, tell, do” the circular brushing method. This outreach program was different from the daily clinical practice we have so it was an eyeopening event to public health.
