View Case Presentation

My first case showcases an elderly patient. Mr. S is a patient on various medications to control his systemic conditions hypertension and Diabetes. Due to these underlying conditions treatment planning had to be modified. Early morning appointments were recommended, and I needed to be cautious of orthostatic hypertension due to medications. I was also responsible for making sure the patient took the necessary medication in the morning and checked his blood sugar level in order to conduct a safe and comfortable clinic session.

Mr. S had many restorative works done in the past and has chips on his anterior teeth. This patient has a moderate caries risk. He is classified as a Periodontal type II due to a generalized 2mm recession, and generalized 10% horizontal bone loss.
