The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
im going to make the first few words bigger
The smaller text on the left poster is competing with the white in the background. Make it bold and/ or place a slight shadow behind to lift it slightly. The design on the right is my favorite. Both have hierarchy, structure and achieve a balance with between the foreground and the background.
The second poster definitely works better in terms of contrast with the text and the background. The first poster, the small text is hard to read. The second poster also has a stronger alignment and has a good structure.
