Luxembourg is a tiny nation in Europe, Belgium to the north and west, Germany to the east, and France to the south. As of 2021, there is a total of 643,941 Luxembourg residents, with 324,355 males and 319,589 females (Nationalities. Statistics Portal Luxembourg, 2021). While the preponderance of the population is of Luxembourg descent, there are also noteworthy populations of people with Portuguese, French, Italian, and Belgian origins, among others. Since 2021, the percentage of Luxembourg residents by marital status is as follows: Single: 44.4% – Married: 40.6% – Divorced: 8.1% – Widowed: 6.9%9 (Statec, 2021). Most of the Luxembourg population is Christian (predominantly Roman Catholic), with 70.6%;  26.7% are atheists, and the remaining total is Muslim, Jewish, and other religions (The World Factbook, 2021).

Luxembourg has an extraordinary standard of living and is known for its excessive education ranks. Literacy is essential in education as Luxembourgish, German, and French are taught in elementary school (The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. 2023). As shown in Figure 3, 62% of Luxembourg residents aged twenty-four to thirty-four earned a college-level degree. The medium annual income in Luxembourg is $52,461, making it one of the highest in Europe (Saltykova, D., & Ovseytseva, M, 2023).  The standard of education level is superb from elementary to college level. This help residents earn one of the highest annual income in the European Union.
