You need to create a logo which will be used in various applications for a client. What application Illustrator or Photoshop would you choose?

I would you illustrator, because I’m able to use a wider variety of designs and tools as opposed to indesign.

When creating a logo I would prefer to use Adobe Illustrator. Logos are usually identifiers of a brand and their identity, which means the logo must be recognizable and simple. Which usually means it is made up or more shapes, lines, or symbols. To achieve these logos you would be better off using pen tools, line tools, and that sort of tool which is found with more variety in illustrator. Photoshop I would say is more useful for editing images, like photographs. Not to say that it couldn’t create a logo but illustrator makes it easier. With Illustrator you can delete or add anchors from lines already create. As well as, manually create shapes that are to your liking. This is why I would use illustrator to create a logo, because it gives you a wider range of tools to use in your process.
If I was designing a logo for a client I would definitely use Adobe illustrator. An ai file is considered a vector file. This means the file has unlimited enlargement. This makes the logo versatile and able to go on all types of products. This would give the client a very wide range of applications to use the logo I created. Illustrator also provides a lot of different export options in which I can export Vector and Raster files for the client. Illustrator also offer more control of typography. Making type in vector shapes so they stay clean and crisp.
In conclusion, Adobe Illustrator is the best choice for designing a logo, offering enlargement, versatility, consistency, export options, and great typography control. I agree. Versatility and scale are important factors in creating a logo. The last thing we want is a design that pixelates when adjusted to different sizes. Vector is the way to go!.
A logo needs to be versatile and scalable, and for this, Adobe Illustrator would be the best choice. With Adobe Illustrator being a vector-based design software, the logos will maintain their quality and sharpness at any size. To me, it is crucial that any logo design work will be top quality that can be used used in various applications. The logo needs to be capable to go from small icons to large banners. Photoshop, on the other hand, while being a raster-based software better suited for photo editing and manipulation. Unfortunately, jpeg files will not keep the same quality as an ai file.
When creating a logo for a client to use across multiple platforms, it’s important to ensure compatibility and versatility. The goal for the logo should be to make it look clean, sharp, and consistent. Based on that, it is best to create the logo as a vector. Therefore, I would use Adobe Illustrator to create the logo since Illustrator is used to create vector images whereas Photoshop is used to create raster images. A raster file made through photoshop would not work for a logo because raster images have a fixed resolution. This means that if the client needed to increase the size of the logo to put on a banner, the image would become pixelated when enlarged. Illustrator is ideal for a logo because, instead of creating a set of predetermined pixels like photoshop does, it creates paths and anchors that are defined by mathematical equations. When the client goes to enlarge the logo to place on their banner or any other merchandise, the image will remain crisp because the computer recognizes the paths’ equations and is able to change the variables of said equation to maintain the shape of the image while enlarging it.
If I had to design a logo for a client, I would use Illustrator to generate an AI vector file rather than Photoshop, which generates a Raster file. Photoshop image with numerous pixels; it has a restricted enlargement since the more you extend or place the image in bigger frame, the more pixels appear, and small squares will show around the edges. It is great for magazines or anything else where the client requires an exact size. Illustrator, on the other hand, is a superior alternative for producing a logo that can be placed everywhere because it is built with anchor points and line segments rather than pixels. It can be enlarged indefinitely. The line will recalculate when you zoom in or extend the image.
for creating a logo that needs to be used in various applications, i think adobe illustrator is the preferred choice. illustrator is vector based, which means the logo can be scaled to any size without losing quality, making it versatile for different applications.
If i needed to create a logo which will be used in various applications for a client i would choose to use illustrator over photoshop. Also Adobe Illustrator gives you the free space to design anything and you can use multiple tools to design your art. Illustrator is used for creating, manipulating and compositing images as vector illustrations. Illustrator allows multiple forms of documents to make your designs on. The reason I would choose illustrator over photoshop is because illustrator is easier to use over photoshop. The tools on illustrator have multiple techniques and shortcuts to help make your designs better and become very detailed if need be. Photoshop shouldnt be used to create logos from scratch because they will become pixelated when the image is scaled down and the color. This is because photoshop is a raster program which will make it a bit more difficult for the designer. This is why I would choose Adobe Illustrator to create a logo over photoshop. Photoshop I consider a bit more complicated to use because the tools are mostly hidden and I’m not too experienced with photoshop besides just trying to edit actual photos. Personally I have never used photoshop to edit designs I have created to change the lighting, vibrance, etc. Photoshop is more so used to alter. If your project doesn’t require much editing and focuses mainly on drawing or creating designs, then you can choose Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop is used for the manipulation, correction, and compositing of images. However, if you need to edit and retouch images, then Adobe Photoshop would be better to use.Using Illustrator means your logo will be a vector image meaning it’s not made up of pixels and instead is made up of anchor points and lines. Meaning it can be reshaped and resized while retaining all of its quality. That is why I would use illustrator over photoshop to make a logo.
To create a logo I would use illustrator because it comes up as a vector file allowing me to freely scale the artwork and the imagery would be much smoother. While for photoshop, your logo is a rastor file. A file that when attempting to make bigger can ruin the look of the logo. Moreover, the logo would look heavily pixelated; not an easy look. I would much rather use photoshop to create a flyer, poster, album book or something of that sort. The graphics on illustrator are impeccable regardless of size and the lines and anchor points gives me freedom to manipulate the file.
