In answering this question I am on a fence in between both answers. A selfie can be art because its depicting your personality which is art. Selfies can document yourself and what happening but at the same time, anyone can take a selfie and sometimes a person can do something in a selfie that another person cannot. For example, the selfie can have a lot of depth in it such as the Tony Blair selfie and that is art, but there are other selfies people take on Instagram and Facebook that I would not consider it to be art. It all depends on what the person is trying to show to the world about them, a story, or some kind of personality factor.
