Like Polidori, I agree that sometimes photographs do not need people in them to get across a message. A photo can convey a message with whatever is being shot. I do agree that his works are powerful statements. I admire his work because it is unique and real. His photos are captivating, they make you feel as though you are present. You get a real sense of what is going on in the photograph and deeper understanding of the topic in which the photograph is based. I really like his Chernobyl work because knowing the story and what happened, seeing his photographs allows to me get a deeper insight into what occurred in that disaster. I disagree with people calling him names and trying to demean his work because he is able to document and educate others who may not know what is going on.
