Tintype illustrates a perspective that is authentic or realistic. Capturing modern warfare infused with an ancient photography method makes it more nostalgic of the past war fares and they compliment each other. The whole process of transforming the photos is precise so being meticulous is essential to ensure the correct outcome of the photos. Done incorrectly will result defaulted photos—worthless. The lighting is captivated in a certain way that shows the soldiers emotions that modern day photography isn’t capable of effectively capturing since it is in colors. For example, the darkened photos show how rigid the person is while the lighter ones display the playfulness of the characters. We are reminded that these are war photos—that they are human…capable of experiencing every emotion that we do. It preserves the past for them to cherish and remember since their mortality is not insured. Only the pictures existence is perpetual.
