Composition

Ahhh, Learning Lab 1. I remember it was just yesterday the weather was nice and our class was out and about taking photos around our campus in downtown Brooklyn trying to capture multiple different types of composition. At the end of the day a lot goes in to making a photo a “great photo.” Having a decent camera is one thing and Lighting is another, but ultimately getting the right shot with the right composition and timing is definitely one of the more important aspects of photography.

My partner and I definitely got some great shots using leading lines and rule of thirds. One of my favorite type of composition is capturing abstract shapes in everyday objects. This style is the best example to show how something so simple can go a long way if it is composed in an artistic way.
