It was great shooting portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park because there was lots of sunlight that day. There was open area to take pictures where the background would not look too busy. We had our subjects’ back facing the sun while we took pictures. We used the direct light from the sun and the reflectors. We reflected the light onto our subjects’ face to make the face more well lite. We also tried to make our subjects the main focus and have the background blurry. My photo was very successful because my subject’s face was in full focus, while the background was blurry. You could see the contrast between the person and the background. It made the person stand out even more.
