Through Others Eyes

CAM00204

I took this picture Saturday night on March 15th of 2014. I was having dinner with my boyfriend, when suddenly I looked to the side, and the image through his prescribed glasses caught my attention. The optical illusion of the image reflecting through the lenses, having a second bicycle and breaking the symmetry of the door, is what I think makes it interesting. Without using any filters, I believe this picture questions the reality effect and make the observer look twice to understand the shot. We can appreciate a not so focus image around the lenses, but a pretty clear view through them. I wanted to make the frame focus as close as possible to what I wanted to show, which is why the left edge, and half of the left upper and lower edge are part of his face. On the other side, the right edge, and half right upper and lower edge is the outside view of the restaurant.
