Hello!!! My name is Wilmer Chavez, and my preferred pronouns are he/his. I am a Salvadorian man who lives in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Consequently, I am studying hospitality management at City Tech. I chose this major because in the future I would like to be the owner of my own restaurant but in the meantime, I would like to become a Culinary/ Pastry chef or a font of the house manager or director.
I really love the movies based in Nicholas Sparks’ Books as Dear John, The Vow, Message in the Bottle, and so on. If I would have to choose one Movie that would be “The Notebook,” directed by Nick Cassavetes in 2004. I really love this movie because convey the idea of a real love with difficulties, obstacles, and even with the power of creating “magic” to transcend together from life to death.
I heard Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams didn’t get along at all on set of The Notebook, always thought that was kind of ironic.
I heard the same Daniel. like you wrote that is ironic but probably they created those rumors to generate more attraction from the audience to the movie because if I am not mistaken years later they had a relationship
Your cooking skills look on point, I lowkey wanna try the cookies.
Thank You, Yovanna
The Notebook is a great film I watched that Like 2 times, it’s in one of my top list of movies to watch.
I have watch it like 4 times. I love that movie
Hi Wilmer! Welcome. I appreciate Yovanna’s reply here– she “lowkey” wants to try the cookies, and I agree :). Do you do deliveries/ shipments? 😀
It’s very interesting to hear about your professional goals. What kind of restaurant would you like to own? Would it be in New York, do you think?
Thanks for sharing your appreciation of The Notebook. Your description reminds me of one of the plays we’ll be reading together, Romeo and Juliet, and the question of the ability to transcend true obstacles.
Happy to be working with you this summer.
Thank you, but at the moment I do not do Shipments or deliveries. Consequently, in the future I would like to own a seafood restaurant or a vegan restaurant because I think we can eat delicious and nutritious food having veggies as principal ingredients. I think that I should open first my restaurant in other cheaper state and if I have success I could be able to open another in New York.
Wilmer, by the look of those cookies you’re already a pastry chef. They look delicious! I admit that The Vow is top 5 on my “need a nice cry” movie folder. Rachel McAdams is such a gem, have you watched About Time? (also in my folder, haha)
What’s your favorite pastry to make?
Yes, Tamara I love the vow movie too and I like all the movies of Rachel McAdams. And, yes I have watched the movie “About Time” and I liked the message. Well, My favorite pastry to make is the Pate Choux Swams because is a delicious and elegant dessert. and What is your favorite dessert?
