Hello everyone, My name is Alex Carchi and my preferred pronouns are he/him. I am currently enrolled in the facilities management program I love anything that has to do with STEM. This is my first time taking a course in the summer hopefully everything goes well. I don’t know what to expect from this class besides learning about film, I just choose this class because it seems interesting. I like to go out for walks with friends finding new location to hangout and relax, site seeing, but out of all the things I love is see the sunrise/sunset since its the most beautiful moments in a day.

Heyyy, Alex. It’s my first summer class too. I’m so excited, I can’t wait. I agree about how sunrise/sunset are the most beautiful moments in the day, the calmness of blue and the warmth of orange, they are just so peaceful to look at.
+1 on the sunset appreciation train. I love taking aerial photographs and sunsets are for sure one of the best things to see and photograph/record from a drone. I love being able to see the pinks and oranges cast over houses and under the clouds.

I may be biased but I think our class will be fairly interesting and dare I say enjoyable– we’ll be focusing on cinematic storytelling and thinking about the ways both authors and directors convey ideas. I am very impressed that you gravitate toward all things STEM– though I began college as pre-med and got through Bio and Calc I realized it was not the right path for me. How did you decide to pursue Facilities Management? It strikes me that your major expertise is something incredibly valuable in general, but particularly in this historical moment, where we are all grappling with questions about facilities reopening safely.
