I think its repulsive that only Native Americans can be tried in a tribal court.
The tribal courts should have the ability to try anyone who commits a crime in
their community. If this continues then its just giving sexual predators the
idea that they can commit a sexual crime in a certain area, and not be penalized
for it, because they are not Native American. It’s really sad that something
like this can be going on, and nobody is doing anything about it. I think its
insulting that someone is free to take advantage of a Native American woman in a
particular community, because they know that they can get away with doing it.
Not allowing tribal courts to try someone who isn’t Native American is giving a
sexual predator permission to do whatever he wants. More definitely needs to be done about this situtation.
