I noticed that there is an increase in violent crime among younger youth. As a human service student, why do you think there is a rise in violent crime, such as muggings, robbing,gun violent by children? How can we prevent this from happening?
I believe that there should be some type of program that explains children to speak up if any abuse is going on at home to prevent things from happening like this. I believe many things like these are happening because the parents of these children are telling them what to do and as innocent as children are, they listen to their parents. I believe that human service workers can help by removing the child from the home if there is neglect or abuse going on and counseling provided for the parents because of what they want their children to be doing.
