I wouldn’t say this is a tutorial on how to draw exactly like Kim Jung Gi. In the video Jung Gi discusses how he got to where he is as an artist. He talks about the importance of perspective. Understanding the form of objects at different angles. Plus, visualizing what you are trying to draw amongst other things.
“You should be able to draw any angle you imagine, because your floating the image in your head visualizing as you draw along. People might question if this really necessary for character design….the answer is absolutely yes!” – Kim Jung Gi, quoted from the video above
Lance this is a great video and Kim Jung Gi … BOOM! He is just mind blowing and so inspiring.
He is. In my opinion he is living proof of what you and other professors has been telling us over the years about anatomy, perspective, observations, practice, and more importantly using reference.
