Pediatric Patients
During this clinical session, I had to opportunity to give these pediatric patients (ages 5 and 7) dental cleanings along with the education of their oral and nutritional habits. This was a great experience for me and as you can tell from the photographs, they were very excited about their visits!
Periodontally Involved Patient

This patient presented with Type III/localized Type IV periodontitis due to severe generalized recession, mobility, and generalized bone loss found on radiographs. Heavy calculus and heavy staining was also evident. Working on a patient like this was definitely more challenging than the type of patients I see on a day-to-day basis but I am glad I have gotten to encounter someone like this to give me more experience on working with periodontally involved patients.
