During my two years in the dental hygiene program, I have done some research in different classes. In order to become a well-rounded competent clinician, we were required to study different diseases and pharmaceuticals. 

NYCCT Health & Wellness Fair: Presentation of a Group Research Project on Crohn’s Disease & the Oral Cavity

Histology & Embryology: Researched and presented Lymphadenopathy.

Oral Pathology: Researched Greig Syndrome & its clinical presentation.

Pharmacology: Researched Valerian an herb used as a dietary supplement.

Public Health: Evaluated the effectiveness of the educational program created for 2nd graders at Public School 177. Healthy Smiles

Here is a project done for Oral Pathology by myself and another student to express our profession in an artistic way. All our work was displayed in New York City College of Technology’s library to spread awareness of our department and the dental hygiene clinic. Our project symbolizes a healthy tooth versus a infected tooth using rhinestones and glitter.
