Personal ObjectivesÂ
Professional ObjectivesÂ
Tenzin understands the difficulty of reaching a certain goal or feeling left out in situations. Tenzin’s background holds a huge achievement and plays a huge role in who she is now. Tenzin was born and raised as a refugee in a third world country known as Nepal. Her origin country is Tibet which has been under the control of the Communist party (CCP), which led to millions of Tibetans fleeing their native city and escaping to neighboring countries such as Nepal and India. Growing up in Nepal and being influenced by their culture and tradition left Tenzin with a loss of identity and confusion of her true identity. Tenzin feels a stronger motive to reach her goal because she wants to make her mark not just for her but for her nation and as a Tibetan American. Tenzin has gained a huge amount of knowledge within the sneaker industry by working at companies such as Footlocker from an early age. Tenzin also wants to inspire individuals who come from a refugee background that they have a chance at creating a better life for themselves if they put in the effort. Her childhood led her to become a shy and quiet individual in the United States considering she couldn’t communicate with others due to the language barrier. Her teen years were spent adapting to American norms and lifestyles such as experiencing diversity and learning another language besides her native one. Tenzin’s diligent focus on school and work has made her realize that hard work holds a reward that is worth the patience and time.
