The presentation should be 12-15 minutes, no more no less. You need to rehearse the presentation ahead of time to make sure you cover all material in the given time frame.
Divide speaking responsibilities between partners so each member of the team has equal opportunity to discuss maps and images.
Make sure the audience can see you and the projected Story Maps clearly. Address the audience directly.
Articulate your ideas clearly using concise, descriptive language.
Stay on track by using speaking notes (flashcards) so you remember the major points. Example:
[Story map page 1:
— Uris theatre, facade
— built 1907, architects: Chanin Brothers (list other designs) – worked for Shuberts
— seats 780 — three tiers and box seats
Story map page 2:
— Architectural elevation from NYPL
— Discuss design features — define Beaux Arts and point out elements]
