The last math course required for my degree, MAT1275, would have been completely different for me if I would have chosen a professor other than Professor D’Anna.  She not only created a pleasant environment, but made me and other students feel comfortable to ask questions when we didn’t understand problems.  She allowed my classmates and I to put problems on the board and solve them on our own, and then we would go over them with her collectively.  This undoubtedly increased my level of understanding trigonometry.  I’m glad I chose to enroll in her course and got a chance to be one of her students.  The class was a step up from MAT 1175 exploring more in depth algebra and trigonometry.
