Writing: The authors are Nicquel Terry Ellis and Nicole Chavez. Nicquel Terry Ellis is an award-winning journalist who serves as the senior writer for CNN’s Race & Equality team. Nicole Chavez is an award-winning writer and journalist who has spent her career covering the aftermath of traumatic events and the life through the lens of multicultural communities. Both of these journalists speak on the topic of women of all color living in poverty most of the times abort the fetus as the best decision since they can not financially support the baby. As soon as Roe was overturned many public leaders of colored groups have condemned the courts decision. These women of color take the hardest blow as they are the higher percentage of abortion rates. These are constitutional rights that only exist to a few now. Many few this midterm as the most important midterm in history as things need to be changed.

““They’ve stripped away our right to vote, and now women have lost their right to their own body. What’s next?” White said. “We cannot allow our future to rest in the hands of those determined to crush every bit of it. We need to fight back.””

Write: This article focuses on the struggles of colored women will now face with the overturning of Roe. This was more focused on the financial side of things. Women in general living in poverty will struggle even more with this ruling. They do not have the money to support a child and make the hardest decision which is to abort it.  75% of poor or low income woman are abortion parents. The medical care and all will add up to a huge amount if the parent kept the baby.

Another point made in this article is the simple constitutional rights are being altered against these women. First it was voting and now it is Roe v Wade. Women are starting to fight back by protesting and making their voices heard. The tone of these authors sound strong as they want to bring awareness and want things to change in this country. This is a very important topic not just for women care but for some native communities. It comes to life or death in some of these communities and with this overturning some women might die due to this choice.
