For this assignment, I would try to educate the audience about depression in men, and why most deaths caused by depression are mostly men, as well as the cause and effects, process, reasons why men suffer the most, and stereotypes. In this topic, my audience is everyone, from men to women, to a higher power if possible, the president, who knows. the genre in this is fiction because all this information and statistics are based upon real-life situations all over the world and events in which these statements can be said with evidence to back them up. I choose this topic because mental health, especially in men, is rarely discussed, talked about, or resolved due to the stereotypes put upon men and in society’s POV, thus, this creates a more serious problem for suicidal prevention and attention on men, and it makes it less prone for men to reach for help. I would publish this text in mental health websites/articles, as well as in newspapers or sources that can reach every audience on the internet or a real discussion. I intend to start with statistics and proven facts that state how men struggle the most with mental health and the consequences of struggling long-term. some of my concerns while researching and putting up this text are the best resources I can find and pick, information such as statistics and such, as well as how will i be able to convey this message efficiently for my audience to understand, analyze and take consideration in what they learned, as well as the actions they can take to help improve/change social issues like this.
