In Chapter 2 McGuire shares her views on why we should focus on learning instead of teaching.
What is one teaching strategy you use?
One challenge I try to address in class is learning the theory to problem solve rather than memorizing. A strategy I’ve used is to ask one question in different ways, showing that its the same theory/process, but with different input/results.
What is one learning strategy your students could use to be successful in your course?
Focus on identifying the problem inputs and results. Practice working through the equations/tables with the information given to reach the results requested.
