Philosophy Statement

Philosophy of Nursing

To care for another human being apart from self contains a spiritual aspect within itself. To be empathetic and patient as well as strong and passionate is the definition of a nurse to me. Nursing is considered one of the most trusted professions in the United States and rightly so. They advocate for the patient and their safety, the patient is more in contact with the nurse than any other health care profession, they build trusting relationships with the patient. Integrity, honesty and self-respect are few of the most important things that are important to me ethically and personally. A few ethical values I hold dear are: (i)to be honest; (ii) respect& treat everyone how I want to be respected; (iii) not to mix work and pleasure, as I am there to work; (iv)mind my own business.
