Welcome to my e-portfolio. My name is Sulu Samoylov. I am a graduate student of Dental Hygiene Department at NYCCT and a mom to be.

Dental field was always an interesting and undiscovered topic for me. Like some of my other colleagues had to go through orthodontic treatment twice and third molars oral surgery. Never wore my retainer for the first time, and had to get the treatment start all over.

When I came to United States, I was giving an opportunity to start my career at the dental field.  Where I’ve learned a lot about teeth, dental treatment, basic oral hygiene, orthodontia, exposing radiographs, taking impressions, sterilizing the instruments and working with different people.

In 2011 I applied for dental hygiene program at NYCCT and in 2012 I started taking my prerequisite courses. In 2014 I got accepted into the Dental Hygiene program. That’s how my long journey has begun.

It’s a great experience and opportunity being a student of Dental Hygiene Program. I am proud to be called a member of dental professional team.
