ambiguous figure/ground relationship
The tree has lived a long life and has experienced a lot of things. It was used to extinguish the fire off cigarette buds leaving it weird marks on the tree. Because it is an old tree it has grown moss. Each tree has its own distinctive feature so the unique marking on the bark.

Loved how you used the moss of the tree to signify that every tree has gone through certain things and in turn creates a beautiful outlook on it’s appearance.
