Do I need a Visual Aid?

Maybe.  The three reasons why you’d use a visual aid in your speech is to add INTEREST, CLARITY, and RETENTION.  When choosing your visual aid, the visual aid should achieve one or more of the reasons above.

If you DO NOT need to make the information clearer for the audience, more interesting to the audience, or easier for the audience to remember, then you DO NOT need a visual aid.
