For this project, I would search for a quote that I like the most and make it in a 5×7 Inch Postcard. The Quote I was using at first was “Art without emotion its like chocolate cake without sugar. It makes you gag.” Quoted by Laurie Halse Anderson. Until I decided to find another Quote to find an image that’s much easier to relate the meaning of the quote.

In the First Postcard, The Image didn’t illustrate the meaning of this Quote. It only shows an image displayed as pieces of Bread and wheat that look yummy to eat. It would make more sense if I could find a dripping chocolate syrup or a Sloppy looking Chocolate Cake as a background image that looks unappetizing so that It can relate the Quote.

The Second attempt Postcard was harder to read at first because of the Background Image color is already High saturated Golden Yellow on the Background and the Text’s color is a lighter yellow than the background Image. Plus the Image still didn’t illustrate the meaning of Laurie Halse Anderson’s Quote above.

After browsing some samples of Images I was trying to find that can Illustrate the meaning of Anderson’s Quote. None of the Drippy Chocolate Syrup Falling or a Sloppy looking Chocolate Cake Images I find can define the meaning of the Quote. So I decided to use a different Quote just to use this Sample Surrealism Artwork to illustrate the meaning of Pablo Picasso’s quote, “Everything you can Imagine is Real.”
