First Blog – Internship Company Discription

My Internship is with a company called Clarkstech. It is a small, private, New York City company, they also have an off-shore office it seems but it is not clear on the website itself.

Their primary business is to build mobile and web products for startups and design intricate trading platforms. They provide multiple packages to help clients with whatever their web or mobile needs may be. Their business model is about having both on-site and off-shore work cohesively together to provide all the services needed to their clients.

“…on-site business transformation consulting services with near and offshore technical development and support to make sure [their] clients receive the ideal systems integration solutions at the right price.”

Some of the packages they provide include:

  • Salesforce Services Workflow & Task Management, Analytics, Community Cloud, CRM Services, Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud
  • ServiceNow Services Application Development, HR Service Management, IT Service Management, Security Operations, CMDB, Migrations
  • Mulesoft Services Mule 4 Migration Services, Managed Services, Application Support, Application Delivery, Integration Services, Connector Support Services
  • UX Modernization User Experience Consulting, Front End Modernization, Graphics (Visual design), UI Modernization, Design, Wireframing & prototype, Information architecture planning
  • Application Development Custom Software, Web Applications, Mobile Apps, Solution Consulting, Application Support, Business Process Solutions
  • Cloud ManagementAWS Services, Google Cloud Platform Services, Azure Services

The department that I am mostly working with is the UX/UI & web design department. They give me projects which they are working on and ask me to develop them in whatever way they need me to, whether that be through research and design proposals, low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity wire-frames, & motion graphics. They tell me which projects to prioritize and then we meet up to review my work and discuss what is good and what isn’t. This critique then influences the next round of changes or the project is then passed off to someone else who will be working more closely with the client.

Some of their customers and clients are:

  • Office of Research Integrity (ORI)government client
  • Jootza – timesheet & invoice management
  • SmartSubmissions.com – job platform
  • Teeno Appteen jobs

The company makes to reference it on their website about their founding or history. Their social media pages are also none existent as of right now. They are a fairly new company it would seem and are trying to work on expanding their recognition, probably through good work, networking, & bigger clients. There are also no news articles I can find speaking of them as of right now. Hopefully soon this will change for the company.
